Barbara Dreaver

Barbara is an award-winning journalist with more than three decades of experience across radio, print and television, and currently serves as Pacific Correspondent for TVNZ.

Her career has focused on the Pacific region, covering major political, social and environmental issues and building strong relationships across Pacific communities. Her work has been recognised nationally, including being appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to journalism and Pacific communities.

Barbara is passionate about increasing visibility and opportunity for Pasifika girls and women in football, using her communications expertise to strengthen storytelling and community connection.

She brings to the Foundation strong communications leadership and a deep understanding of community engagement, supporting its focus on inclusion and equitable access to the game.

Barbara joined the Foundation in January 2025.
